Irish Standard EN 81-72:2003 (IS EN 81-72:2003) is the Irish version of the European Standard EN 81-72:2003. This standard explains the construction and installation of lifts. Throughout this standard the significant hazards, safety requirements, protective measures, significance of the landing door, and access to the facilities using the fire service access level are addressed when discussing firefighters lifts. The annexes provided in this standard include illustrations that further explain various concepts.
